Take heart!

In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart,
for I (Jesus) have overcome the world. John 16:33

You might think it odd at first seeing these two scriptures paired together in the same card, but when you think about it, they are both tremendous encouragements, particularly if you are going through a difficult time. Starting with the second scripture, where our Lord Jesus tells those who are His that we WILL have trouble, not we might, but that we WILL. . that's a promise just as surely as that contained in the first scripture (above). Thankfully, our Savior doesn't end there! He goes on to encourage us saying, "Take heart! I have overcome the world." Amen!! Our striving is not in vain, the victory is sure and that is why the scripture above is such an encouragement. We have no way of even comprehending just how wonderful (really, truly wonder-full!) will be our eternity with the Lord! So be encouraged this day. If you can't seem to find that deep -seated joy, that joy that remains even in the most difficult of times because you know that God remains in control, that Jesus HAS overcome the world and that someday you will be with Him in glory, then please click on the link above entitled "Good News."

Beyond all borders. . .

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Philippians 3:12

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained. Philippians 3:13-16

Happy Birthday, Rick!

Happy Birthday, Rick!

Today we celebrate Rick Holland's birthday!! Rick has always been supportive of Kelley's passion and love for Our Daily Bread Designs, but this year, he stepped up that support by retiring from his day job! He's very mechanical, very organized, works hard and likes to have fun. . .today we celebrate Rick with a special hop! We are thankful to the Lord for His gift of Rick!!

One of the blogs on the hop is a "hot spot" so if you leave a comment on that blog you just might be the winner of a $20 gift certificate redeemable for some lovely Our Daily Bread Designs stamps! (Is this the hot spot or was it one of the other stops?)

If you arrived here from Sandee's blog, then you're in the right spot. If you got here via another route, please head on back to the ODBD blog to be sure you don't miss any stops (because I'm the last stop on the hop!) Thanks for participating in our Happy Birthday Rick! blog hop.

Complete details are available on the ODBD blog.

Peace to you. . .

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold,
I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. . .
And suddenly there was with the angel
a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
Luke 2:10-11; 13-14

NEW: ODBD Sparkling Snowflake Stamps (December 2012 Release)
OLD: Re-purposed ribbon
We may be beginning the second week of the new year, but I'm not yet ready to stop celebrating the miracle of Christmas! And thankfully, I don't have too, because we can worship and praise our Lord all year in all that we do!! The world may try and relegate Christ to one day in "their" year (and many try and excise Him all together!), but the truth is that He is Lord every single nano-second of every single day! You can lock yourself in a dark closet and refuse to believe there is a bright sun shining in the sky, but it doesn't change the fact there is a sun. Truth is not subjective, it is objective and the object of all truth is Jesus Christ! Someday, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. . .some will do so with love and adoration as they enter in to a glorious and bright eternity with the Lord, and others with awestruck terror as they realize what awaits. . .but while they live there is yet time! May the Lord have mercy and may His Gospel of Peace, bring reconciliation and healing for all eternity!

Accessories: Spellbinders Dies, Stampendous Embossing Powder, gems; bakers' twine. button.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

If you are looking for peace, you need look no further than Jesus Christ. I wish you His peace. . .everlasting, eternal peace. For more information, visit Peace of God.
