I love Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps because owners Dan and Korin Sutherland have set as their primary objective, honoring and serving the Lord Jesus Christ through the use of the gifts and talents He has given.
I love the scripture stamp sets and lovely images that accompany many of the sets.  And if you like darling images that you can color, Korin is a gifited artist and has the most precious images which I know for certain you will see on the other stops on the hop. And, many of the images come in a digital format as well!
The set I am using is called “Seasons of Change” and it is a beautiful and versatile set. It is one I have used over and over as our life as Christians is all about change( . . .and being transformed!). I’ve also used a scripture stamp from the “Wait on the Lord” set in the card’s interior.  (if  the “Season of Change” set is not available in the store, please be patient: it will be soon!) The set also has a coordinating die which I’ve used on the interior of this card as well.

Project Details

This year, for the first time in many, many years, Thanksgiving dinner will be at our home. I'm so excited (and a little bit nervous, too as this is the first time we've had "company" in our new home!) In preparation, I've made a few place cards for my guests. I wanted to have a bit of fun, but also properly acknowledge the source of all blessings: our sovereign Lord!

Before the Lord gave me a new heart and a new purpose in life, Thanksgiving was my least favorite holiday. It was always cold and dreary, the days were short, turkey was on the menu, and I'd eat too much and feel miserable.

So what's changed? Me, by the grace of God. The scales are removed from eyes; my deaf ears are opened; the heart of stone replaced with a heart of flesh: in short, I have been transformed and am a new creature!! Now I LOVE Thanksgiving, even though it should be our way of life as Christians and not reserved for a single day of the year, especially since there is no way to get through the list of things for which we are thankful in a single day!
There is certainly not room in this blog post to even begin my list, so I will include only that for which I am most thankful. I am thankful to the Lord for purposing to save a people unto Himself for all eternity, through Jesus Christ, the only mediator, the only Savior, the only way of reconciliation!! I am thankful for His amazing grace!!

Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving Day as you reflect upon the manifold goodness of the Lord!

Great is thy faithfulness. . .

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;  they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Project Details

The book of Lamentations is such a powerful book, written by the prophet Jeremiah as he mourns over the coming captivity of Israel (the northern kingdom) and the impending conquer of Jerusalem . Or, as Bible commentator Mathew Henry writes,

. . We have this lamentation in which the miseries of Jerusalem are bitterly bewailed and her present deplorable condition is aggravated by comparing it with her former prosperous state; all along, sin is acknowledged and complained of as the procuring cause of all these miseries; and God is appealed to for justice against their enemies and applied to for compassion towards them. . .

I chose this stamp set for this week's winter white challenge because it reminds us that in the deep of winter, those who are the Lord's, are not without hope. Though we may be blinded and cold, we must admonish our souls and stand fast on the promises of the Lord, remembering that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness

Randi's Song

This set was produced a couple of year's ago in honor of ODBD Design Team member Randi Barrett who, despite many surgeries and treatments for the cancer that ravages her body, praises the Lord and rejoices in His goodness and mercies and is truly a testimony to the grace that is found only through the Lord Jesus Christ. Please do keep her and her family in your prayers.

Ink: Versamark
Paper: Metallic White
