Halleluiah! Christ is born!

She will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus;
for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

Halleluiah! Christ is born!

Angels from the realms of glory
Wing your flight o'er all the earth;
Ye who sang creation's story
Now proclaim Messiah's birth:

Come and worship,

come and worship
Worship Christ, the newborn King
.

Shepherds, in the fields abiding,
Watching o'er your flocks by night,
God with man is now residing,
Yonder shines the infant light:

Come and worship,

come and worship
Worship Christ, the newborn King.

Sages, leave your contemplations
Brighter visions beam afar,
Seek the great Desire of nations,
Ye have seen his natal star:

Come and worship, come and worship
Worship Christ, the newborn King.

Though an infant now we view him,
He shall fill his Father's throne,
Gather all the nations to him,
Every knee shall then bow down:

Come and worship, come and worship
Worship Christ, the newborn King.

All creation, join in praising
God the Father, Spirit, Son,
Evermore your voices raising,
To eternal Three in One:

Come and worship, come and worship
Worship Christ, the newborn King.

Angels from the Realms of Glory
by Scottish Poet James Montgomery,  1816

Glory to the King!!

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace,
On the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From then on and forevermore.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.
Isaiah 9:6-7

 He is no longer a newborn king. . .
He is the reigning king and His kingdom endures forever!! Halleluiah!

Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
And with fear and trembling stand;
Ponder nothing earthly minded,
For with blessing in His hand,
Christ our God to earth descendeth
Our full homage to demand.

Randi's Song. . .

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7

 This card is dedicated to our sweet sister-stick, Randi Barrett, whom the Lord called home on Saturday. The background image panel uses the set "Randi's Song", which was released in honor of Randi a few years ago. Gentle, encouraging, a great sense of humor, incredible patience and a steadfast love for the Lord were evident in Randi's life.

When the set was first released in October 2010, Randi was quoted as saying,

"This set is so meaningful to me. My first cancer was 26 years ago and the song that always bubbled up from my heart is this song." (The song Randi is referring to is "Great is Thy Faithfulness".) " Here I am again....same cancer same song.....there are no mistakes in God's handiwork. I get blessed just thinking about it. Sorry guys but I am claiming these stamps as ones sent from heaven just for me."
 You can read the full post here . On the second anniversary of the release, it was the feature of Angie Crockett's Flashback Friday post.

 So many of us have memorized the 1 Peter 5 scripture, but how many of us only focus on the last portion and not the first? The line forms behind me! Randi, however, didn't just quote this scripture, she lived it. . .all of it! When Randi's cancer returned in 2010 and she prepared for surgery, she was quoted as saying,
"I told my pastor that I just don't know where to go in my mind yet. Am I preparing for meeting Jesus or preparing to teach a bible study. We decided until we know something I need to prepare to teach....and continue living.  I may not know what the future is for me BUT I do know that I am determined to serve my Savior with all my heart."
Humble, gracious, beloved: Randi will be greatly missed.  Please keep her family and friends in prayer as they mourn the loss of their dear loved one, though they rejoice knowing that she is with the Lord and full of joy, peace, love and thankfulness! We know that she is singing with all she has, "Great is thy faithfulness, mercy and love!"

This stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs is such a masculine set, but it's also an elegant set, so with a bit of pink, pearls and lace. . .it is perfect for a feminine card. . .and that's a good thing, because us girls are just as much in need of the Lord as are the guys!

I am so thankful that He is my Shield, even on those days when my sinful heart and distracted mind look everywhere else for comfort and protection. He is faithful and has promised to be with His children, always. . .even to the end of the age.  If we who are, by His grace, trusting in the only Savior for mankind, Jesus Christ, then we have nothing whatsoever to fear. NOTHING shall EVER separate us from the love of Christ. . .but don't just take my word for it!  It's what God says in His Word. You can read it for yourself, right here!

   I love Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps because owners Dan and Korin Sutherland have set as their primary objective, honoring and serving the Lord Jesus Christ through the use of the gifts and talents He has given.
   I love the scripture stamp sets and lovely images that accompany many of the sets.  And if you like darling images that you can color, Korin is a gifited artist and has the most precious images which I know for certain you will see on the other stops on the hop. And, many of the images come in a digital format as well!
    The set I am using is called “Seasons of Change” and it is a beautiful and versatile set. It is one I have used over and over as our life as Christians is all about change( . . .and being transformed!). I’ve also used a scripture stamp from the “Wait on the Lord” set in the card’s interior.  (if  the “Season of Change” set is not available in the store, please be patient: it will be soon!) The set also has a coordinating die which I’ve used on the interior of this card as well.
