CHACB Challenge #6: Sketch Challenge (with a twist)

The current challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous is to: a Sketch Challenge, with a Twist!Use the sketch below as inspiration for creating your project. You can modify the sketch to create a card, scrapbook layout, altered canvas, mini book cover, and so on. Now, for the TWIST! You must search your hoard and find one item that is OLD and one item that is NEW and use them BOTH on your project. Show us how you combine older items from your stash with something recently purchased. Twist it up!!

One talented participant (selected from both April Challenges) will receive this fabby prize for their work donated by Hampton Art. Hampton Art, founded in 1980 in picturesque Long Island, NY, has been inspiring stampers, crafters and papercraft enthusiasts for over 20 years. They have a portfolio of brands including Hampton Art™, Studio G™, Diffusion, Ditto™ and Ki Memories®, acquired in 2012.

You have until Sunday, May 4 at midnight PDT to prepare, submit and link up your project to the CHAC Blog

Project Description

So thankful to the Lord that he has given us this wonderful creation. This project was created as a gift for my the best sister in the whole world: mine! My last project was a card for my mother. I am so very blessed for the Lord's gift of both of these dear women. . .My sister's birthday was actually last month on the first day of spring, which is most fitting for her, but she wasn't coming back to the mainland until this month, and over to visit until this week!

It was designed to fit in the frame, but was really difficult to photograph without glare, so I took it out of the frame. . .I thought up decorating the frame, but decided against it and went with a more crisp look.

Since our challenge was "a sketch with a twist," I twisted the sketch by turning it on its side and shifting the main image panel. .  .if you haven't worked with one of Gloria's sketches, give it a try, she's a master sketch designer!

Blessed. . .

Her children arise and call her blessed. Psalm 31:28

CHACB Challenge #5: Pick a Stamp! Any Stamp!

Gloria Designs Challenge The current challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous is to use a stamp (at least one!) as the focal point of your project!

You don't have to be a card maker to hoard stamps! With the popularity of pocket-style scrapbooking and the explosion of journaling stamps on the market, many scrapbookers have also become stamp hoarders. Plus, digital stamps are more popular than ever. I am sure that most of us have at least one stamp in our stash! You may "collect" wood mounted stamps, clear stamps, cling rubber, or even digital! Get one out, dust it off, and make it the STAR of your project! We want to see a stamp (sentiment, word art, image, etc.) as the focal point of your project! Feel free to use more than one stamp, but you must have AT LEAST ONE stamped item on your project.

One talented participant (selected from both April Challenges) will receive this fabby prize for their work donated by Hampton Art.  The deadline for linking up is Sunday, April 20 at midnight PST.
