Shine Your Light Before Men

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

Jesus gave these instructions to His disciples, so if you profess to be a Christian and are trusting in Him alone, these instructions apply to you as well. A dark and perishing world needs the light of the Gospel, the life-giving light of the truth that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. . and you are that messenger.  May your light shine brightly for the glory of the Lord, dear ones!

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may
see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Project Details

This little lantern was found in a discount bin and the mini-canvas at the art supply store. The canvas was stamped using VersaFine Sepia and then embossed using Stampendous Aged Copper Embossing Enamel. The edges were then inked with the Versa Fine Onyx. The main image panel is stamped on tissue paper, which was distressed with Ranger Inks and then spritzed with glimmer mist and a button with twine added for embellishment. The tag was stamped, embossed, die cut. A second panel was cut and over-stamped with the scripture for the backside to hide the brad and twill tape ends.
