Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
This scripture is just one of my favorites as it helps me to refocus when I get distracted and start looking to the things of this world to satisfy my soul. . .there is only one who can, and that is the Lord and He has opened the way with reconciliation through the Lord Jesus Christ. This scripture reminds me that only He can satisfy and that when I delight in Him, when I seek first His righteousness, when I store up my treasures in heaven, only then am I truly satiated. What I've discovered is that by delighting myself in the Lord, He truly gives me the desires of my heart, because my heart's desire is 1) to be known and loved by Him and 2) that He might receive all of the glory, honor, praise, worship and adoration that are His alone!! May you delight yourself in the Lord and receive the sweet blessings and desire of your heart! Lord bless!

This card was made based on the sketch challenge from the past couple of weeks (ODBD SLC117) with some modification and using the same designer series paper pack: Prima Almanac. Only this time, I colored the DP so that it would better match the color scheme of the card. I used a combination of Bic and Prisma color alcohol based markers and colored in the flower, the bird (in the cage, the butterfly and a few other areas. If you haven't tried this technique, give it a try!
