But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,“therefore I will hope in him.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Project Details
The book of Lamentations is such a powerful book, written by the prophet Jeremiah as he mourns over the coming captivity of Israel (the northern kingdom) and the impending conquer of Jerusalem . Or, as Bible commentator Mathew Henry writes,
I chose this stamp set for this week's winter white challenge because it reminds us that in the deep of winter, those who are the Lord's, are not without hope. Though we may be blinded and cold, we must admonish our souls and stand fast on the promises of the Lord, remembering that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness!
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Randi's Song
. . We have this lamentation in which the miseries of Jerusalem are bitterly bewailed and
her present deplorable condition is aggravated by comparing it with her former
prosperous state; all along, sin is acknowledged and complained of as the
procuring cause of all these miseries; and God is appealed to for justice
against their enemies and applied to for compassion towards them. . .
Randi's Song
This set was produced a couple of year's ago in honor of ODBD Design Team member Randi Barrett who, despite many surgeries and treatments for the cancer that ravages her body, praises the Lord and rejoices in His goodness and mercies and is truly a testimony to the grace that is found only through the Lord Jesus Christ. Please do keep her and her family in your prayers.Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Randi's Song
