Project Details

Made for a work colleague whose husband passed away this past week. The verse used on the inside of the card is excerpted from the Sermon on the Mount in which Jesus lays out for His disciples the difference between those who are of His kingdom and those who are of the world. This verse is so often used to comfort those who are grieving the loss of a dear one, but in the context of Kingdom living, one of the signs of a repentant heart, is sorrow for sins. Sorrow for the injuries we caused our dear Savior, and that He bore God's wrath for sin that was our just penalty. . .oh, how we mourn! But Jesus also promised that those who are His are blessed and will be comforted. How true that it is! Our beloved Savior applies the healing balm to our souls and bids us to rise from the dust and into the very presence of our God! It is most amazing and most humbling. What a Savior, what a friend!

  4. Oh Jan Marie what a truly beautiful card - it has such a feeling of peace about it. Love your background - the frantage (I take it that is what the white spots are) gives it such a wonderful dimension.
